Origi is tied to Milan until the end of the 2025-26 season but the club and the player want to terminate the contract a year early. The former Liverpool striker reportedly had a meeting with Milan representatives to discuss the terms of termination of his contract. The Italian club have been paying around €5 million per year for Origi's services, a cost that they now look to take off the books. Having not reached an agreement on the severance package, a second round of talks will be held in the coming weeks. With Origi's early departure, the Italian club want to avoid wasting more money on players not part of the project.
