Introducing… MUNDIAL Magazine Issue 23
MUNDIAL reminds you why you love football. Founded in 2014, the print magazine has just sent its twenty-third issue to the printers, and there’s a very special person on the front: Zinedine Zidane.
Inside, MUNDIAL’s writers explore Zizou’s career through ten games that defined him as a person and as a footballer. From World Cup finals with France to Champions League finals with Real Madrid to big comebacks with Bordeaux and even a five-a-side indoor game he played back in a gymnasium in La Castellane, the area in Marseille that Zidane grew up in.
MUNDIAL magazine is always split into three sections. The front section is full of shorter bits of writing that can cover everything from facts about Zico’s direct freekicks to Divock Origi being kissed by someone in the crowd and how good the burgers are at non league grounds.
The middle section is where the long form articles are, with MUNDIAL telling stories about football from across the world. Alongside the Zidane cover feature, there are longer pieces about non league heroes South Wales, the joy of J.League, and a piece from the frontlines in Ukraine—all accompanied by amazing photography, illustrations, and design.
Finally, the back section is all kits, boots, travel, and other bits that surround the game.
