The Bundesliga giants are one of the sides to have been credited with interest in the one-cap England international, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at La Liga side Getafe in 2023-24 – winning their Player of the Season award.

Greenwood is expected to sever ties with parent club United on a permanent basis, with there seemingly no way back for him at Old Trafford, and leading sides from across Europe – along with a couple in the Premier League – are keeping a close eye on developments when it comes to his future.
DID YOU KNOW?
Dortmund were said to figure on that list of suitors, but the German giants are ready to walk away from any potential recruitment scramble after holding in-house discussions. Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard has said of the recent speculation: “Conflicting reports about BVB interest in Mason Greenwood this week. I’m told the MUFC forward was discussed at one stage, but Borussia Dortmund won’t be pursuing any kind of move for him this summer.”
WHAT NEXT FOR GREENWOOD?
With Dortmund seemingly out of the picture, the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli can think about formalising their interest. Any deal for Greenwood will not be cheap, as he remains under contract in Manchester, and it remains to be seen whether anybody is prepared to meet his asking price.
