The Egypt star is close to an agreement with the Reds over an extension, the reports, with a two-year deal expected to be announced. Van Dijk, meanwhile, said recently that "progress" has been made in talks with the Premier League leaders and is expected to commit his future to the club.

Salah hinted that he would leave the club when his current contract expires at the end of the season amid talk of a lucrative deal awaiting him in Saudi Arabia.
